[Chuckles behind a hand, her eyes glistening with amusement.] How very true, and no matter how much the Jedi deny it, we are similar, and no matter how much they fight, they can never truly defeat us Sith. Hah! The thought of that ever happening is a funny thing. [Averts her gaze to her nails and casually observes them whilst continuing to speak] As long as the Jedi exist, the Sith will also exist. Fact.

sithsorcerer started following you

Hmm … it’s been a while since I’ve heard or seen of one of your kind. I assume you mean no hostile intentions for the moment?

* Mird growls ever so slightly, brushing against Vau’s leg - his hand flickers closer to…

[Shifts her weight to one leg and rests her hand against her hip, her gaze still studying the other’s expression. Noticing his relaxed stance, she smirks - satisfied.] Oh, looks like you have some brains after all.

An untrusting galaxy? [Pauses for a few moments and ponders; her thoughts prompt her to remember her own present where the Mandalorians were often allies of the Sith and the Empire.] This galaxy is always going to be ‘unfriendly’; no matter how many years pass, no matter what changes have been made, war and conflict will always exist. So I suppose it’s something we’re all just going to have to grow accustomed to.

[Bursts into a fit of laughter, although her merriment is far from innocent, if anything it sounds slightly mocking] ‘Startled’? Oh, I am ready for anything the world can throw at me - it would be a feat if you could startle me. [Grins wickedly] I am Lord Ren Vri of Dromund Kaas. Yourself?

Dark Sorcerer: (Time period: Clone Wars era)(Planet: Coruscant)Coruscant was a...

master-of-deception:

There was a momentary silence as Palpatine regarded the girl standing before himEverything about her was false: her tone, her innocent demeanor…everything. He saw her lips begin to move and he heard her voice, but he wasn’t listening. He was too enveloped in his own current thoughts.

Her feelings betray her, Palpatine observed darkly. The dark side surrounds her. Yet even so, she was…difficult to read. Who was this mysterious Sith? Why had he never seen her before?

His musings were interrupted once he realized that the young woman had asked a question. Pushing aside his own biting inquiries, Palpatine took on an official and diplomatic air. “Well, I did hope to find a few Senate records that were documented while the previous Chancellor was in office…” His voice trailed as he cast a wayward glance at the numerous tablets to his left. After staring at the archives for a brief instant — with apparent disappointment — the present Chancellor returned his gaze to the stranger, sending a small, tired smile her way. “…but I can’t seem to come across anything useful.” I believe a better question would be why are you here. ”And you, my dear? It’s a bit late to be working on a research report.”

Everything about her surroundings was beginning to make her feel uneasy. Even as she continued to act beneath her pretend façade, the room was beginning to feel smaller – smothering her within a tight and tense atmosphere - and Ren was not accustomed to feeling so exposed in an environment where she would typically dominate. Usually, she would be the one who would cause others to feel perturbed and tense, but the tables had seemingly turned.

Pushing her ponderings away, she returned her attention to the stranger and had to wrestle away the temptation to click her teeth and roll her eyes at him when she detected his rather consular and noble impression – the bearing of a politician, no doubt. Politicians irritate me but Republic politicians? Oh, they drive me insane. Despite her loathing, she reminded herself that befriending a few ‘misguided’ Republic officials in this future could be of use to her and her mission. It was not enough reason to tame her displeasure but it was enough reason to halt her inducement to kill – for now, at least.

She followed his disappointed gaze to the archives and briefly scanned the large assortment of tablets, mentally making a note of any that could be beneficial for her own research. Then he asked a question which she should have been prepared for but instead, it left her speechless for several excruciating seconds. Think you daft twit! Fumbling for a response, she shifted her footing and adjusted her pose, to emphasize the feigned shyness and awkwardness of a young student. “I was trying to find some documents about a certain period of history. When the Dark Jedi were banished…. And what happened afterwards-” She trailed of and averted her gaze to the floor. Technically, her little act was honest – she was searching for something from a past era- but for some reason, she did not think it would be wise to enlighten him to anymore of the truth. Ren never trusted anyone – no Sith should in her opinion – but her instincts were particularly on fire at that moment, forewarning her that playing the question and answer game with this mysterious individual was a bad idea.

Perhaps my problems would be solved if I killed him?

* Mird growls ever so slightly, brushing against Vau’s leg - his hand flickers closer to his blaster, but only for a moment.

[Studies the other with a curious look, her lips curling into an amused but threatening smirk] Now, now - you should not assume such things when you are the one with his hand on the weapon. Tsk, tsk, have you Mandalorians lost your senses as the years have gone by? [Her expressions darkens into a sinister expression] Perhaps I should reeducate you with the force so you can learn some manners when addressing a Lord of the Sith, hm? [Chuckles behind a hand]

kar-alorade replied to your post: OOC - srs question.

[[I’d say red, or yellow, even though Bastila had yellow and she’s a Jedi…]]

OOC: True. (Loves Bastila)

I always draw Ren with a yellow saber and she uses a purple or yellow one in the game. I haven’t actually decided what colour lightsaber to give her in her roleplay headcanon. XD

I’ve used both red and yellow on two different occasions (two different roleplay, ops, derp derp), so I think I need to decide on one.

… FLIP A COIN. THAT’S THE BEST ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING. 8D

Dark Sorcerer: (Time period: Clone Wars era)(Planet: Coruscant)Coruscant was a...

master-of-deception:

If anyone else had been standing there, they surely would’ve been startled by the sudden and unexpected voice…so long as they weren’t sensitive with the Force.

Palpatine’s thoughts were interrupted the moment he had felt the disturbance. The dark side. He slowly looked up and lowered the tablet from his view, casting his gaze to the end of his aisle. His blue eyes became clouded while he stared ahead blankly; he could feel the hatred, the anger, the power. He could feel it glide across the floors of the library…

…and stop just a few feet away.

Palpatine had been expecting to hear the voice. When the whimpering sound finally reached his ears, the Chancellor shook himself back to the present and carefully slipped the tablet back onto the shelf. There was so much deceit in that voice… But he didn’t dare make any remark regarding it, and instead stepped closer to the source, expertly feigning an apologetic tone. “Forgive me. I was…unaware that there was anyone else exploring this section of the archives.”

Caution. That was what the chilling sensation was telling her to do – act cautious. The Force was urging her to remain alert and vigilant, and to not rush into any unknown situations where she could jeopardise her mission but confusion surged through her - be cautious around what, this old man or something else? She could sense the danger, her skin shivered from excitement and anticipation because of it, but she could not ascertain why she felt so wary or what she should be watchful of. It was beginning to infuriate her.

Her brow furrowed together as she heard an apologetic voice echo through the library, in response to her call, but despite knowing where the other intruder was, she still felt uneasy. Indecisive, she did not know whether it was wiser to retreat from the library’s gloom and wait for an opportunity where she could be totally alone or continue playing her game.

(I’m already here and he is just one man. If there are dangers here, lurking in the shadows, then I will end them. I cannot turn back. I will not waste anymore time here.)

Decision made, the young Sith emerged from the aisle’s shadow with a large, goofy grin on her face. “Sorry, sir, I was doing some research into a paper and I got here too late, so I stayed behind closing hours…” Whilst she forced out a nervous chuckle, she studied the male in front of her from beneath her false façade. Was he a member of nobility? Someone of high rank? She was completely oblivious to the important figures of this time and she knew that her obliviousness was strange to other people, surely a young woman like her should know? But Ren would be swift to devise a quick excuse and a plausible reason for her naivety if they ever asked her about it, and if they continued to persist their questioning, she would be swift to end their questions with her lightsaber.

Burning with curiousity, she pulled an innocent expression and shyly averted her gaze to the floor. “Ne, if I may ask, sir, why are you here after closing hours?”
